Why is hatsune miku so cute

Crypton Future Media had released six other vocaloids before Hatsune Miku, but she was the first member of the Character Vocal Series, which would later include Megurine Luka and the Kagamine twins. The company used voice samples from voice actress Saki Fujita and based Hatsune Miku's concept off of "an android diva in the near-future world where songs are lost.

The company's previous projects had been intended for professional use, but Hatsune Miku's cute appearance made her more appealing to a wider audience. The vocaloid first became popular after she appeared on the Nico Nico Douga website, a YouTube-like video-streaming site, and she captivated viewers with her high and sweet voice.

After seeing the virtual idol's domestic success, Crypton Future Media began pushing Hatsune Miku into American markets. Their efforts were rewarded as musicians began experimenting with the vocaloid and flooding YouTube with original songs and animatics.

Hatsune Miku's explosive popularity was an internet phenomenon and the vocaloid even performed live as a hologram during the Animelo Summer Live at the Saitama Super Arena in Good timing and an impeccable character design all played into Hatsune Miku's legendary status. I think, every single vocaloid fan I know from my social circle wouldn't even be into vocaloid by now if it wasn't by some Kagamine song. There is also this Hachi new song he made for said Miku's birthday, sand planet where there is criticism of the decadence of vocaloid welp rather miku's from the pov of Miku stans fandom.

Henny, this has been going on since at least. I remember a ridiculous number of Japanese producers leaving the fandom after that year many of my favorites but no one cared because they weren't huge miku producers, gasp some of them even mained other voicebanks, can you believe it! Now that an outstanding Miku producer says it it must be true, though. Miku fans are too loud, are noisy, are annoying, are overdramatic, and are often the reason why many people ended up leaving the vocaloid fanbase and of its decadence on the first place.

There, I said it. When someone says that they like Miku over any other vocaloid out of all other vocaloids tends to be because they don't care enough about the fandom to get in deeper and find other songs and other voices.

This is not only people's fault obviously. Of course with that strong cult all over exclusively Miku's character who's gonna actually look on youtube for the good semi-obscure songs of not so well-known voicebanks from some years ago? Very few people actually. This also splashes japanese producers of course. Thanks god nowadays there are a lot of overseas active producers but some years ago only the japanese made the vocaloid songs.

Then repeat. This became a huge vicious circle, because it became then even more pointless to use any voicebank that wasn't Miku's with the exception of Gumi's or IA's maybe , because people on nico wouldn't bother on listen to a nobody's original song where they used Kaito, Gakupo, miki, iroha, or whatever the voice you want.

In fact I still find good songs for other vocaloids when I browse nico, it's just That they don't get many views because very few peole cares. This came out a loooot longer than intended, guess I really wanted to vent. So yeah, people hate Miku because she's popular, and this popularity came off as destructive. Hope I cleared some doubts for the newfriends around here.

I will not make excuses for the CFM company, to me their a company with a lot of cracks at the seams. Prior to Miku Vocaloid was obscure, Internet co were the top music on-line provider of software And CFM themselves were a tiny company. They went from nothing to a big deal practically overnight. They paid their price for their success by not being able to do much else with Vocaloid ever since but keep Miku no.

Her name is at this point worth more as a character then it is as a vocaloid. I love the way her hair is styled and how smooth her outfit looks. It's just between modern and futuristic and balances both very well.

Now for Sakura Miku. I don't necessarily like pink, but Sakura Miku is so cute. The light pink of this design is beautiful and I love how certain areas are different shades. As I was saying earlier about the flexibility of her design, Sakura Miku is basically the same design just with a changed headset and sleeves, and everything else is either white or pink with flowers.

Ah yes, Miku's voice. This is because Mitchie M's tuning fulfills the intention of Miku's voice bank; she's supposed to sound like an anime character.

Take a look! I personally have come to enjoy her High pitched original VB no matter the tuning because I just find some pronunciations adorable ru, shi, Ki, I, ka, ku.

Another reason it isn't fair is that with a simple increase of gen the 'chipmunk' trait goes away. It just goes to show that since she's so popular people take everything out on her, when in reality pretty much every other VOCALOID can have the same exact problem.

As for append's, A LOT of people adore them. These two specifically are more loved than the others. That doesn't mean the others are bad, but I think the reason they're more preferred is because they're more mature.

I personally prefer when Miku has a more mature appeal, but I still adore her voice no matter what. Don't get me wrong, they're all pretty much perfect, but I think the fact that they follow the more high pitched and cutesy route leads people to not care about them. Specifically Vivid and light, and I really like those two a lot. Here's what to keep in mind if you want to see specific VB's. SOLID is used for the second chorus, Miku original is used at the end, and English is used for the parts of the other people in the story.

The top right corner of the video will also tell you who's singing XD. She was also very high quality for a V2 VB, and her V3 append's are alright in quality, with Miku V3 original basically not being worth mentioning according to the fandom. I have very high hopes for her v4x, they're so high that I have a feeling a lot of people will start to like her again tbh. But to go back on the cute appeal of her voice, I never understood how some people can go as far as saying Miku's voice isn't cute.

From the pitch, to adorable pronunciations and notes, Miku's original VB is adorable. Unlike the other human idol or flesh-and-blood divas, Hatsune Miku was created with a fairly simple configuration such that creators and fans have plenty space for their creativity: They get to define her characteristics, give her rich stories, and make her sing and dance in different ways.

Miku is no longer a marketing ploy, she is a powerful co-creation platform. You can find Miku figurines, Miku biscuits with QR code linked to her online music , Miku arcade games, Miku comic books, etc. Moreover, corporations and brands have enlisted Hatsune Miku as their brand ambassador and have even co-branded with Hatsune Miku.

For example, Xiaomi, a Chinese company, co-branded a limited edition Miku smartphone. Toyota hired Miku to endorse the Corolla in an advertisement. In fact, both classic and chic fashion brands are doing crossovers with Miku. Hatsune Miku has become a famous holographic pop star who has 2. Her business model continues to evolve by moving from 2-dimensions to a 3-dimensional world.

She is clearly challenging the status quo of the entertainment and media industry. Interestingly enough, Miku is a virtual idol with human parts but she transcends human limitations.

Although it seems there are very few physical limitations that stop Miku from growing exponentially, CFM takes good care of Hatsune Miku by working with selected client companies for different experiments under the PCL license to ensure original creators can obtain respect and royalty while the quality of derivative work remains.
